Evidence-Based Mental Health
About Me:
I have a Bachelor of science in Biological Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I am passionate about neuroscience and I bring a bit of nerdiness into the room.
I believe therapy works best when people feel genuinely seen, understood, and safe enough to show up as themselves. I aim to create a warm, down-to-earth space where clients can slow down, untangle what feels overwhelming, and move toward a life that feels more connected, grounded, and aligned with their values.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, camping, exercising, and finding balance between adventure, rest, and the everyday chaos of life. I also have personal experience supporting a child with anxiety and understand how deeply anxiety can impact both children and the people who care about them.
My Approach:
I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, parenting struggles, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and communication breakdown. I provide therapy in Victoria BC and virtual counselling in BC.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based, embracing the humour when possible. My modality draws primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment-based approaches, and emotionally focused perspectives (EFT).
I believe therapy should feel both supportive and active — a place where clients feel understood while also building practical tools, insight, and confidence to move toward meaningful change.
My ultimate goal is to work myself out of a job. I want clients to leave therapy feeling more confident in their ability to handle life's ups and downs. Life will always contain uncertainty, discomfort, and the occasional curveball, but my hope is that clients can meet those moments with a growing sense of confidence and a mindset of, "Bring it on!"
LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, couples, and families are warmly welcomed and supported.
